Congratulations to the Lady Bulldog Volleyball team on a great season. This past week, the girls defeated Dublin on Wednesday to advance to the Sweet Sixteen in the GHSA playoffs. Their victory over the Irish, set up a match with the Dade County Wolverines on Saturday morning, where the Lady Bulldogs were defeated in 3 sets.
Friday night in Fitzgerald the Bulldog football team defeated a tough Fitzgerald squad 15-8. With the victory, the 2021 edition of the Bulldogs captured the 30th Region Championship in the storied tradition of Bulldog Football. A special thank you goes out to the Marching Bulldog Band, Red Hots, and Cheerleaders for bringing the energy along with the large number of Bulldog fans that made the trip to Fitzgerald.
The Bulldogs wrap up the regular season Friday night at home against the Berrien County Rebels. Senior Night Festivities will begin at 7:20 where seniors from the Football team, Cheerleaders, Band, Red Hots, and AFJROTC will be recognized. Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM. Good Luck to our Cross Country teams and One-Act Play cast and crew this week as they compete for the Region Championships. Also, the Competition Cheer Squad is back in action on Saturday in Valdosta.
