🎓Mrs. Jones's Career Discovery classes enjoyed a campus tour of FAMU this week!🏫Students also toured the Hair Salon and Barber shop on campus. 💈They even got to stop by the bowling alley 🎳to receive a quick history lesson on the sport and learn how students can receive Bowling Scholarships!🎓
REACH Georgia is a mentoring and scholarship program providing promising students the support to graduate from high school and achieve postsecondary success. Students who complete the program requirements will receive a scholarship of up to $10,000!

👏MPMS recently honored our parents by hosting a Parent Apprectiation Luncheon. 🏆Students were able to enjoy a Thanksgiving feast 🦃with their parents in the media center. They were entertained by a few students who read poetry. Parents also received some information concerning MAP testing by Ms. Zondra Williams, Instructional Coach. Upon departure, parents were presented with a gift bag from Ms. J. Jones, the Parent Engagement Coordinator and Mr. Davenport, the principal, to show their love and appreciation! ❤️We love our parents!❤️

✨Mrs. Deidre Jones's Career Connections students had the opportunity to visit Tallahassee State College recently, where they were able to tour the campus and learn about all of the degrees and programs that are offered there. The students enjoyed themselves and came home with some pretty cool swag!✨
⭐Students in Ms. Ellis's 6th grade science classes are learning about the Rock Cycle. 🪨They worked on a new way of studying their vocabulary words by creating a foldable. Students also viewed Igneous, Sedimentary, and Metamorphic Rocks.⭐
A few students in Ms. Engram’s 3rd Block (7th Grade) were rewarded for displaying positive behavior in the classroom on October 31st. Thank you to Mrs. Futch, Instructional Coach, for providing those students with a Pizza Party for lunch!
Concerned parents called to the attention of Thomasville City School administrators a highly offensive social media post made by a now former school system employee. The system immediately placed the employee on leave and launched an investigation of the matter. Following a meeting with system administrators this morning, the employee is no longer employed with our school system.
Thomasville City School system regrets the conduct of this employee and assures the community that this type of conduct by our employees will not be tolerated.
